I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I have also wanted to work from home for a very long time. So here’s the thing, I own and operate an event rental business with my husband, which is great but it is seasonal and doesn’t bring income in all year round. We both work full-time jobs as well, but I believe my job is coming to an end. In my lifetime, I have worked for two companies that have went bankrupt and I can smell it a mile away. In my full-time position, I am reception, customer service, purchasing, accounts receivable/payable and anything else that gets thrown at me. When we can’t order parts because there is no money or credit available – problem, when your boss says out loud that he is worried about making payroll – problem, when business is getting slower and slower – PROBLEM.

Way back in March of this year, a lovely, smart lady by the name of Lacey was working with me at this company. She had been with the company since June/23 and by this time she couldn’t stand our boss and was actively look for another job. I do miss her banter so, it is so quiet without her. I looked at her one day and said “You are smart, especially when it comes to HR issues and policies, we should start a online virtual assistant business together.”. To my surprise she said “Yeah, let’s do it.”. And that folks is how LS Initiatives came about. In her new job, she works very long hours but gets paid well. It is not her ideal job, a jam factory. So I needed to the pedal to the metal and get our site off the ground. I love designing stuff – websites, graphics, logos, newsletters – just love learning as well. I already had a hosting packing for our event rental company, I just upgraded to bigger and better so I was able to host other websites as well.
